How do I register for the event?

You can register online until the night before the race. Additionally, you can download a race entry form, fill it out and send it along with a check (made payable to: Madison College Foundation Benefit Run) to the following address:

How much does it cost to register for the race?

Registration price depends on when you register and what you register for. Prices are indicated on our registration page.

What are your t-shirts like?

Our Turkey Trot t-shirts are some of the nicest of any race in Madison... to find out more visit out T-Shirt page.

Are there any registration discounts?

For groups registering at least 15 participants at one time please contact Race Director, Jason Verhelst, for a discount code.

When do runners and walkers pick up their race packets?

Race packets can be picked up at the Warner Park Shelter House after 8:30 AM on race day.

Can I register on race day?

People can register on the day of the race at the Warner Park Shelter House Race day registration costs are as follows: $30.00 - with t-shirt (t-shirt will be sent to you), $23.00 - without t-shirt, $40.00 - both races with t-shirt

Where should I park?

You can park anywhere is the Warner Park parking lot.

What awards are given?

Specially designed Turkey Trot medals are awarded to the top three individuals in each division.  An additional award is given to the top male and female finisher in the 5K and 5M. The age divisions for the 5K and 5M races are as follows:

12 & U | 13-18 | 19-29 | 30-39 | 40-49 | 50-59 | 60-69 | 70+

There are no divisions for walkers.  

Are their rest rooms or locker rooms available?

Rest rooms are available in the Shelter House. Locker and shower facilities available at Madison College (3550 Anderson Street) from 8:30 AM-1:30 PM, if needed.

Are spikes allowed for the race?

Spikes are ALLOWED for the race.

Are strollers and/or dogs allowed on the course?

Strollers and dogs are NOT ALLOWED on the course.

If I pre-registered with a t-shirt and do not show up at the race can I still get my t-shirt?

Sorry, pre-registered participants must pick up their t-shirts on race day.

Are refunds given if I choose not to participate?

No refunds are given once the registration has been processed.

What if it is raining the morning of the race?

The race will go on unless there is thunder or lighting.

Where are the proceeds from the race donated?

All proceeds benefit Thursday's Child and the Madison College Foundation. Thursday's Child makes dreams come true for terminally ill children at no cost. The Madison College Foundation provides educational assistance to students. Both serve Dane County and the surrounding areas.
